From classic to contemporary, Vera’s Ladies Apparel has the perfect, elegant styles in mother-of-the-bride and mother-of-the-groom formal wear to make you stand out among the crowd on that special day. In addition, Vera’s has a wide selection of professional, evening, and casual ensembles for every occasion. Owner Vera Boumadi makes sure that “Vera’s Ladies Apparel has a little bit of everything.”
Vera’s features great designers such as Mon Cheri, Daymor Couture, Montage, Cameron Blake, Junnie Leigh, Destinations, Jovani, Mac Duggal, Mori Lee, Damianou, Terani, Scala, and Adrianna Papell. At Vera’s we do all of our buying at leading fashion markets such as Las Vegas, Chicago, and New York, allowing my customers to achieve a one-of-a-kind look.
Moreover, Vera is a professional seamstress and tailor; she offers alterations on-site, both for items purchased in the store as well as for those purchased at other shops. Vera’s personalized service is dedicated to helping you look your best!
Our Story
Vera's Ladies Apparel opened its doors in 2002, and is co-owned by the husband and wife team of Sami and Vera Boumadi. The Medina store was recently added and opened in November of 2016. They also own and operate a men's clothing store called Boumadi Clothier, which was been in business since 1984.
Sami and Vera are also the proud parents of four wonderful children, three girls and one boy, who grew up in Copley, Ohio. After wardrobing three teenage daughters for school dances, prom, and eventually their weddings, Vera realized that there was a high demand for elegant and high-quality evening gowns. That is how Vera's Ladies Apparel began. Vera created a relaxed and comfortable environment that women like to visit to try on, purchase, and special order beautiful designer gowns. Vera's is committed to making sure that you look your best for any event, which is why they also provide their own custom alterations on site. Sami and Vera have been professional tailors for the past 30 years.
Not only is Vera a well-known business owner, she is also an active member of her local community. She has been a member of TWIGS ("Together With Important Goals") since 1991. TWIGS is a volunteer group that helps the young patients at Children's Hospital in Akron, Ohio. They help out by holding fundraisers, and also by doing lots of arts and crafts to help make the children there feel loved. Vera has also volunteered at her church "Our Lady of the Cedars," during their annual church festival by assisting in the kitchen making delicious Lebanese food.
